An Oil Lamp

Last Sunday night was an unforgettable night and i think everyone in CSF (at least the tutors) should always remembered in their mind and heart. Too bad jason, adrian and jonathon were not around, or else i hope all tutors can understand wat ss is trying to convey/relay his msg to us.



"In his heart, everyone is a multi-functional oil lamp and no matter rains or shines, he will always be there to guide/protect you." In his preaching, he also compared the difference between lotus lamp and oil lamp; lotus lamp can only last you for awhile but oil lamp- as long as there's the "xin"- the flame will go on forever. To my interpretation, he's not referring the "xin" as the normal piece of string that kept the oil lamp glow; but referring to one's loyalty (忠"心") and heart ("心") to CSF. Well.. he also did mentioned about others impt teachings, but i think this is more vivid now in my mind (not saying that i forgotten what he said or the rest is not impt) Just that, sometimes, i think i failed him (sometimes) when I didn't fulfill my role well as an oil lamp ( or when he entrusted me to do sth)



Well... this meeting was quite impromptu but all his words were etched in my mind and heart. Still counting down for fri's meeting with him; the man that will always surprise you. You will never know what he's thinking. lol... Must learn from him sia.
